The FBC Missions Ministry engages the entire church family in opportunities to live out the Great Commandment and to embrace the mandate of the Great Commission given by Jesus to His disciples. (Matthew 22:37-40; Matthew 28: 18-20) .
Cultivate, Motivate, Activate
The FBC Missions Ministry achieves its vision through prayerful consideration of how the Lord would direct the church body to support local, regional and cross-cultural mission efforts. Among our congregation, we strive to cultivate an awareness of various mission organizations, to motivate participation in events that help support para-church ministries, and to activate outreach groups from our own church family to minister to the lost, the lonely, and the indigent.
The FBC Missions Team helps to connect people and budgeted financial support to mission organizations. This team also promotes special events to draw attention to our mission organizations and their efforts. Our church family and local community are invited to help support these organizations by participating in events such as:
– The Dirndl Sale is every September to aid refugees and indigent communities in Eastern Europe through OASE in Hersbruck, Germany.
– The Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection is in November is for Samaritan’s Purse.
– The Heartbeat Crisis Pregnancy Center Annual Banquet and Baby Bottle Drive are in January.
– The Elim Christian Center, Poland.
Our Mission Team also organizes short term missions trips for members of our Faith family.
