At FBC, we recognize that the first years of independence away from home are of critical importance for the maturation of young adult disciples of Jesus Christ. To help equip young adults to establish and continue healthy, Christ-centered disciplines and friendships, Pastor Jordan Litts teaches expositionally through the Word of God, engages in intentional discipleship studies, leads in small group discussions for men and women (with his wife, Olivia, leading the women), and fosters a Christ-centered community among young adults and in the larger local church family here at Faith.
Young Adults’ Discipleship Studies
Starting in September after Labor Day, our young adults will study these two books on Tuesday nights in the Fall and Spring: (1) FA26 How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth and (2) SP27 A Call to Spiritual Reformation.

Upcoming Young Adults’ Discipleship Study (FA26) – Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.
In clear, simple language, How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth helps you accurately understand the different parts of the Bible—their meaning for ancient audiences and their implications for you today—so you can uncover the inexhaustible wealth of God’s Word. This fourth edition features revisions that keep pace with current scholarship, resources, and culture. Used all around the world, this Bible resource covers everything from how to choose a good translation to how to understand the different genres of biblical writing. Understanding the Bible isn’t just for the few, the gifted, and the scholarly. The Bible is meant to be read and comprehended by everyone from casual readers to seminary students. Even a few essential insights into the Bible can clear up a lot of misconceptions and help you grasp the meaning of Scripture and its application to your twenty-first-century life.

Upcoming Young Adults’ discipleship study (sp27) – Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.
This is a profound study on the subject of prayer that will benefit every believer. God doesn’t demand hectic church programs and frenetic schedules; The Lord wants His people to know Him more intimately, says D- A. Carson. The apostle Paul found that spiritual closeness in his own fellowship with the Father. A Call to Spiritual Reformation investigates what the Word of God has to say in the New Testament Pauline epistles about prayer and how we are to be faithful in this most critical of spiritual disciplines.
