For Youth and Children

Each week as a part of Faith Academy, we offer wonderful programs for your children and teens.

AWANA provides an exciting and effective way to teach your children the Bible, beginning at age 2 and up all the way through 6th grade. With a variation of fun themes and competitive games and a bunch of caring adults, AWANA is a great ministry to help your child grow in the ways of the Lord.

For the youth grades 6-8 we have the AWANA trek program. This is a special time for the middle school students to be continue to grow in knowledge of the Word of God, through Bible studies, scripture memorization and of course educational fun and games.

For the high school age students we offer Faith Academy Student Ed. Students will be able to choose from a selection of studies. 

This semester we are offering two courses as we focus on Character development in the students. The courses are: 

  • Lies Young Women Believe for the young ladies. 
  • Every Young Man's Battle for the gentlemen.

Faith Academy Information

Faith Academy is a key part of our equipping process. Meeting primarily on Sunday evenings small groups meet from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

These courses will be offered during this Semester (Spring 2013):

1. Step by Step through the New Testament taught by Pastor Jim

Step by Step Through the New Testament -  by Rick Mitchell provides a framework for understanding and interpreting the New Testament, and teaches biblical background material. For more information on this 13 week course, please click here to go to the Lifeway website.

2. Experiencing God taught by Jason Sherden 

This revised and expanded edition of the classic best-selling course guides learners to experience the kind of relationship with God through which they come to know and do His will. Through examination of biblical and contemporary illustrations, participants will understand and apply seven realities of experiencing God. Churches will be helped to better function as the body of Christ as members understand how to experience God as a church.

3. Grace Based Parenting taught by Dave and Dal Martin

Grace Based Parenting is not another manual full of impossible standards; rather it is a new map for learning to see ourselves and our children through God’s limitless tenderness – to raise our kids the way God raises us. Ambassadors Diploma 

The Ambassadors Diploma is at the heart of our vision of Equipping church goers to become well trained, prepared and Equipped disciples of Christ. 

It is our hope that during a tour in Germany all those who attend Faith Baptist Church will be able to go through an educational process involving courses in Faith Academy, Weekend Seminars, Personal Studies to go through at home alone and even some mission trips. 

Over the course of the Diploma program individuals will discover their God given gifts, learn to discern the Will of God, be equipped with evangelism tools, grow in understanding of the whole Bible and experience a mission trip.

At the end of this three year program individuals will be awarded a Diploma as they are sent out to be Ambassadors for Christ. We believe you will be truly blessed, stretched and challenged during the equipping process.
