Karen, and her husband Leon are loving living in Germany…eight years now and looking forward to more. Karen comes to the Preschool after serving 6 years as the Children’s Director. Having reared four children and now loving on two granddaughters [which gives her ‘real time’ experience with preschoolers] she is looking forward to her new position as the Weekday Preschool Director. A native of Illinois, near Scott AFB, she graduated from Georgetown College in Kentucky with a BA in Elementary Education. Karen taught Kindergarten one year and then put her efforts into caring for her family. For fun and personal ‘therapy’, she enjoys the thrill of the hunt for antiques and the great opportunity that Germany affords for gardening, walking, finding quaint and interesting back roads, junking, trying new foods, cooking, new friendships….
